Get your students writing simple instructions with this fun and practical outdoor instruction writing activity. Students will choose (or come up with their own) simple activity that they will do and then use the templates to help them write instructions for. The simpler the activity the better as this allows students to think carefully about the little details that they should be including.
Teaching Structure:
- Give students time to choose the instructions they are going to write from our cards or come up with their own.
- Allow students to go outside and do the activity they are going to write instructions for. Encouraging them to think carefully about how they are doing it.
- Using the templates, get students to write their set of instructions.
- Get the students to swap instructions and follow them to see if they make sense.
This pack contains blank templates as well as templates for our suggested instructions where they need to fill in the blanks.
