Refund Policy

If Educate Outside isn’t right for you, tell us within 30 days and we’ll refund you in full. You don’t need to explain why.

The short version. Thirty days, money back, no questions. Cancel any time to stop the next renewal. If a renewal caught you by surprise, tell us and we’ll refund it.

The 30-day guarantee

Buy a membership, use it properly, and if it isn’t earning its place, email us within 30 days of purchase for a full refund.

You can keep using it right up to the moment you ask. We’re not going to check whether you downloaded anything. If it didn’t suit you, it didn’t suit you.

This applies to both the Individual and School plans.

How to ask

Email hello@educateoutside.com from the address on the account, or tell us the email the membership is under.

We’ll confirm within two working days. The money goes back to however you paid, and usually lands within 5–10 working days depending on your bank.

Your access ends when the refund is processed.

Renewals

Memberships renew annually so your access doesn’t lapse in the middle of a term. We email you before each renewal.

Cancel any time to stop the next one.Cancelling doesn’t cut you off — you keep access until the end of the year you’ve paid for.

Surprised by a renewal? It happens, especially in schools where the person who signed up has moved on. Tell us within 30 days of the charge and we’ll refund it and close the subscription.

Your statutory rights

If you’re a consumer in the UK or EU, you have a legal right to cancel a purchase within 14 days. Our 30-day guarantee is more generous than that, not a replacement for it.

Nothing on this page affects the rights you have by law.

Payments made through Paddle

Some purchases are processed by Paddle, who act as the merchant of record — meaning they’re the legal seller of your subscription.

For those, refunds are handled by Paddle under their buyer terms, and they apply this policy. You can request one either through the link on your Paddle receipt, or by emailing us — both routes reach the same place.

If your bank statement shows a Paddle reference you don’t recognise, that’s us. Get in touch before disputing it with your bank and we’ll sort it out faster.

Where a refund may not apply

We’d rather refund someone than argue, so this list is short.

  • After 30 days — though ask anyway if something’s gone wrong; we look at these case by case
  • Accounts closed for breaking our terms — passing access to other schools, or redistributing resources
  • Free resources — nothing to refund

Schools paying by invoice

The same 30-day guarantee applies, running from the date access is switched on rather than the date the invoice was paid.

If an invoice was raised in error or duplicated, tell us and we’ll issue a credit note. No need to wait for anyone’s finance cycle.

Changes to this policy

If we change it we’ll update the date below. The policy in force when you bought is the one that applies to you.
