In this hands-on investigation students will explore the effects of acid rain on the environment. This outdoor science project, ideal for your sustainability or pollution curriculum, offers students valuable insights into a real-world issue while enhancing their investigative and observational skills.

Over a few weeks, students will care for three plants, each watered with a different acidic solution. They'll track the impact of varying acid strengths on plant health through detailed drawings and measurements. By the end of the investigation, students will analyze and compare the results to understand the effects of acid rain.

This project not only deepens students' knowledge of environmental science but also fosters their scientific inquiry and analytical skills, connecting classroom learning to real-world challenges.
