This activity combines estimation, measuring, and subtraction! Students choose an object, estimate its length, measure it, and calculate the difference to see how accurate their guess was.
It can be easily differentiated by using different units of measurement or by estimating and measuring to whole numbers or decimal places. For an added challenge, we've included a sheet requiring students to convert between measurements.
