In this investigation, your class will explore how human actions impact local wildlife, prompting students to consider the types of habitats in which various animals and plants thrive. Throughout the study, students will enhance their investigation, observation, and data handling skills by leaving a section of maintained grass untouched for several weeks and observing the resulting changes.

This investigation is an excellent fit for lessons on living organisms, habitats, or sustainability.
