Get hands-on with this fun and messy science and DT investigation! In this outdoor science challenge, students head outside to gather natural materials like straw, leaves, sand, or sticks and mix them with mud to create their own bricks. They’ll plan their “recipe,” shape their brick, and test its strength using weight, drops, or squeeze tests.

Perfect for combining outdoor learning with scientific inquiry, teamwork, and real-world problem solving.

We think you'll also love our Water Filter Challenge STEM activity.
