Using physical materials outdoors is a great way to introduce your students to addition. For this activity they take a task card and use leaves, stones, and sticks to help them work out the simple addition on the card.
This resource contains two levels of differentiation
- Diff 1 (green) – Numbers 1 to 11
- Diff 2 (blue) – Numbers 10 – 25
We suggest that you laminate the task cards and get your student to write the answers on in removable pen.
