An outdoor manatee lesson with some math! Armed with information sheets, your students will use their measuring skills to draw a baby and adult manatee using chalk. It’s a great lesson for manatee appreciation day or just a fun way to learn about these incredible creatures while practising and developing their measuring and scaling skills.
This resource contains two levels of differentiation.
- The first activity sheet children will simply use the measurements given to them to draw the manatees.
- The second activity sheet they must measure the drawings before scaling them up by the given scale.
