You need to be a member to download this file.

Engage your students in practical writing with this fun outdoor instruction activity! Students will select or create a simple task to perform outside, then use templates to carefully write out the steps. The simplicity of the task allows students to focus on the finer details, ensuring their instructions are clear and easy to follow.

Teaching Structure:

  • Students choose a task from provided cards or come up with their own.
  • Take them outdoors to perform the task, encouraging careful thought about each step.
  • Using the templates, students write detailed instructions.
  • Swap instructions with a partner to see if they can follow them successfully.

The pack includes blank templates and guided templates with fill-in-the-blanks for extra support.
