Autumn is a wonderful time of year where there are a lot of changes happening. This can be a fantastic opportunity to look at poetry and at description. These lessons will get your students looking descriptive language and adjectives to describe the world around them through an acrostic poem.

This is a great outdoor activity to get students practicing column addition both with and without decimals as well as practicing their measurement skills.

Become a police officer for a day while students use their measuring, division, and number skills to work out how fast cars are going in a chosen area using formulas and conversions.

Woodland Tracker (Ages 4 - 6, 7 - 9, 10 - 12)

Woodland tracker is a great way to investigate which animals are sneaking around in your outdoor space or local woodland. It's a great activity if you're looking at observation skills or habitats and can be differentiated for all age ranges.

World Soil Day (WSD) is held annually on 5 December as a means to focus attention on the importance of healthy soil and advocating for the sustainable management of soil resources.
