Biodiversity and Habitats Activity - Nature Observation Walk - Living Things

In this activity, students will take a walk around your outdoor space, recording what they observe along the way using pictures and simple words or sentences. This is an excellent way to encourage students to closely examine the nature around them, make observations, and document what they see.

This pack includes various observation sheets tailored to different needs and focuses. During the walk, you can either allow students to choose when they want to draw or have everyone stop at designated points to fill in their observations.

This activity works particularly well if you can arrange two nature walks in contrasting areas, allowing students to compare their observations and discuss why they might see different things in the different environments.
