We'd like to wish you all a very happy new year and hope that everybody has settled back into the new school term. It's great to see so many schools and organizations taking their students learning outside, giving them new and enriching experiences.
We will continue to produce new resources each month to help you take your lessons outside and deliver engaging lessons for your students.
Don't forget to use our risk-benefit assessment tool to save yourself time when writing risk assessments for your trips and outdoor activities.
We hope you have a wonderful 2022!

New Free Resources
How Much Time? (Ages 7 - 9)
This is a fun lesson on estimation, conversion and time where students will be given an activity to do for a given amount of time. They must do the activity and estimate when to stop to get as close to the given time as possible. They can then work out the difference between them.
New Premium Resources
Tree Diameters (Ages 7 - 9, 10 - 12)
This activity is all about measuring diameters. Children will go outside and find 8 trees to measure the diameter of, recording their answers in the table.
Compass Treasure Hunt (Ages 7 - 9, 10 - 12)
Who doesn't love a treasure hunt? This is a great activity for looking at compass bearings and use as well as instruction writing.
Spell, Count, and Find (Ages 4 - 6)
This is a great activity to get those reluctant writers practicing their handwriting, spelling and counting where students will trace and spell the word before heading off to find the correct number of items in the outdoors.
